Funding for Rehabilitation Works in Priority Wetland Areas in Northern Rivers CMA

The Northern Rivers CMA Priority Wetlands program will continue in 2008. Funding will be available for rehabilitation works in Priority Wetland areas at; Arakoon, Maria River, Limeburners Creek, Wooli River, Tuckean Swamp, Cudgen Lake, and, Goolawah Lagoon.

NRCMA Priority Wetlands Year 2

WetlandCare Australia are continuing their Priority Wetlands Rehabilitation Project into 2008 with funding from the Northern Rivers Catchment Management Authority and the Commonwealth Government’s Natural Heritage Trust. Similar to the last 12 months, WetlandCare Australia and the NRCMA will be offering funding for rehabilitation works in Priority Wetland areas.

Work will continue in last years priority wetlands:

  • Arakoon
  • Maria River
  • Limeburners Creek
  • Wooli River

And will also extend to a further three (3) priority wetlands:

  • Tuckean Swamp
  • Cudgen Lake
  • Goolawah Lagoon

Landholders are encouraged to enquire about funds available if they are in one of the above locations.
