Hawkesbury-Nepean Catchment Management Trust, 2000.
The Community Rapid Assessment Manual (CRAM) was developed for the Hawkesbury Nepean Catchment, to assist with community collection and use of environmental data.
The manual is available for management authorities and community groups to use to assess and monitor the environmental resources of land, water, vegetation and fauna.
The existence of the one accepted method means that data collected by different groups over space and time can be compared.
CRAM manual offers assessment and monitoring methods specific to the subjects of:
- Guidelines for Monitoring a Bushcare Project
- Guidelines for Assessing and Monitoring Riverbank Health
- Guidelines for Assessing and Monitoring Sclerophyll Bushland Health
- Guidelines for Bushland Weed Mapping
- Wetlands Assessment
- Saltmarsh Assessment
Each manual was developed after surveying a range of the target ecological type and receiving feedback from the community.
The CRAM project was conducted by the Hawkesbury-Nepean Catchment Management Trust (HNCMT), funded by the National Heritage Trust (NHT).
