The Fivebough and Tuckerbil Wetlands Trust invite you to join them at their inaugural Australian Birding and Nature Fair. The Fair, to be held in Leeton (NSW) from the 22-26 November this year, will enable you to see and learn about the wildbirds of inland South-Eastern Australia.

Personalities attending the Fivebough Birding and Nature Fair include: Dr Gillian Gilbert, Research Biologist with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds UK, Dr Iain Taylor, Senior Researcher, Land Water and Society Institute, Charles Sturt University, and Mr Sean Dooley, author, comedian and avid birdwatcher.

The event will include a two day wetland forum, with speakers from all over Australia presenting on the theme of ‘practical management in an altered environment’. The final two days of the Birdfair will be an outdoor nature and cultural based event, with guided tours of the Ramsar listed Fivebough and Tuckerbil wetlands, workshops, guest lectures, local arts and crafts, nature-based trade stalls, live entertainment and much, much more!

A feature of the Fair will also be the spectacle of thousands of Glossy Ibis and Whiskered Terns coming to roost together with the many other waterbirds already present in Fivebough.
